Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing Nicole and Andrew’s engagement session. Personally I feel engagement photos are absolutely important if not essential for the future bride and groom. The reason for this is that it gives the bride and groom an opportunity to work with their photographer and a chance to get to know each other before the wedding. It also helps the bride and groom to get accustomed to having their pictures taken, which will make the wedding day images more natural and relaxed allowing their true personalities shine. Nicole and Andrew were great and I think as you look through the images you will see their passion for each other and the fun loving couple they are.

We started out at the Gazebo across from the Cancer Memorial then we moved into the trees along Main Street Across from Rice University. Next we moved to the Cancer Memorial for that Grecko Roman goddess look, and finally we waited in the smouldering Houston humidity for the sun to set in front of the Sam Houston Monument.

Posted by Houston Wedding Photographer Scott Villalobos | Love was in the air for Josh & Elizabeth Tuesday night as we headed downtown for their engagement session. After meeting them and listening to their story I had definite ideas in mind for the love birds. They were great and we had allot of fun. We started in the Galleria area, then it was off to a local diner 50′s style. From there it was downtown were we wrapped it up at the Aquarium. We produced an amazingly diverse portfolio of images from casual to formal and I hope that they will be proud to show off their images to family and friends. Look for Elizabeth’s bridal pics in a few weeks. HINT: She’s a country girl at heart so were gonna throw in a little - Honky Tonk Badonkadonk!

Posted by Houston Wedding Photographer Scott Villalobos | It was an absolutely beautiful and magical wedding at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. Sarah was stunning as she walked down the aile near the Butterfly Center. I have to admit I’ve never seen two people so happy to be getting married. The officiant had the guest laughing out loud as he tried in vein to calm Sarah down. “You’ve got your hands full with this one, JD.” He said early on. She was a ball of nervous tension and she could hardly stand still. After the ceremony we made our way across the street to the Sam Houston Monument for formal pics and then it was back inside the museum for the reception which was held in the Paleontology and Energy Halls. Guest danced the night away while the Bride and Flower Girl sang their hearts out to Love Shack and other 80′s hits all in the shadow of dinosaur bones. It was a great night and one to remember!

Posted By Houston Wedding Photographer Scott Villalobos | Mike & Morgan had a whirlwind, fairytale wedding in Ireland, actually getting married in an old castle. However, they wanted an intimate get together with some of their close friends and family that couldn’t make the trip for the wedding, so that’s exactly what they did at the Rosenberg Civic Center. It reminded me of a simpler time when the most important thing was the joy of sharing in the love of the newly weds. Congrats Mike & Morgan!
