It was an incredibly busy weekend and this is my third post from it. We started out Saturday at the landmark Icon Hotel in downtown Houston. Daniel and Alisha loved the hotel and wanted to make use of the unique settings that adorn the Main Street attraction. Oh if only we had more time to explore all the secret rooms and hall ways, but alas as with every wedding comes the time for the couple to actually get married. But take heart the wedding was at another amazing venue only a few blocks walk away – The Majestic Metro. If you’ve never been or have heard of it, it’s an old theater from way, way, way, back that has been converted into an event venue. It’s colorful, fun, and energetic, just like that guest many whom traveled halfway around the world to attend. (Remember the Thunder is Down Under! And even though there were no shrimp on the barbie there were good eats…) The ceremony went off without a hitch and the reception was highlighted by a movie that Daniel created himself telling the story of how the two met via movie clips. It was definitely different and worth the price of admission, and yes it was projected onto the big screen. (after all this is an old theater!)
