Houston Wedding Photographer | Terry & Shalondria

I was contacted by Terry about a week ago last Friday. He wanted to have me photograph him proposing to Shalondria with out her knowing it. So he told her that he had planned on having pictures done down town of the two of them and then they were going to dinner. She thought it was just for fun, but her family was a little suspicious. I knew that I had to keep things fun and moving in order for her not to think too much about what was really happening, so I goofed around a lot and made lots of jokes. I showed Terry how to pose on his hands an knees with his arms outstretched as though her were serenading her, but the truth was he was popping the question, only he got all choked up and couldn’t speak all that well – thank goodness for sign language and the power of the engagement ring.

Congratulations guys!!

Why RSVP?

As a wedding photographer I look to do more then document the events of your wedding day. I want my images to do more then statically represent the details that the bride and groom spent so much time and money on. I want my images to contribute to the overall wedding day experience and convey the emotions and excitement of the day in a uniquely artistic way. I’m driven to create stunning images, to seek out new angles, settings and lighting – to capture the moments that no else will in ways that no one else thought of. I want my brides to be able to look at their images and remember not just what it looked like, but more importantly what it felt like. I want tears of joy to well up in the eyes each and every time they’re looked upon. When my clients open their wedding album I want them to relive the experience. I want my clients future children to be able to see just how hot mom and dad were on their wedding day. I believe a photograph can do this better then any other medium, I believe it’s a great responsibility and an even greater privilege to be entrusted with capturing these memories. I love what I do and I love working for people who care as much as I do about their wedding photography – these are the type of clients that hire me, these are the type of clients that I want to work for.

This weekend it was Rocio and Roane’s wedding at the beautiful Cypress Château. Having snowed the day before, need I say it was still freezing outside. Dispite that the bride and groom were a glow with they’re love for each other. Corny, I know, but I love my job. Here are a few of the highlights, enjoy!
