One of the things I really look to do during an engagement session is to look for something different, something spontaneous. During the course of Liza and Oze’s esession I noticed this display window and thought it looked like some fun just waiting to be had. I think this really captures the couples personality and that makes it this weeks photo of the week.
Meet Lilly & Edgar, they were the second of a double-header e-session this Saturday. We met at Herman Park, which is suicide for parking on the weekend BTW, and got down to business. They were great and dressed to kill. There big day is June 26th, 2010. I’m looking forward to the wedding, they seem like the type of people with a very close, fun family. I love the e-session because it really gives me a chance to get to know my clients. When the wedding does roll around I’m not just a photographer but a trusted friend. Congrats Guys!

Last Wednesday I had an awesome time with my new friends and clients Jein and Loran as we did their e-session in the Herman Park/Rice University area. They were a great couple truly in love and having a great time. It was an honor to photograph them and I had a blast. They are a perfect example of why doing an engagement session is so important. E-sessions give you the chance to really connect with and get to know one another, it also helps the bride and groom get used to being in front of the camera and by the day of the wedding it’s not just the photographer showing up at the wedding – but a trusted friend. Keep your eyes open for Lorans bridal session – Coming Soon!
This is a preview of the guest book for Nicole and Andrew. The first image is the cover which will wrap around front and back. Its the reason I spend so much time with my couples on their e-sessions and really I think the whole purpose of an e-session. 2 1/2 to 3 hours of shooting to get a good variety of images to create a book like this. Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing Nicole and Andrew’s engagement session. Personally I feel engagement photos are absolutely important if not essential for the future bride and groom. The reason for this is that it gives the bride and groom an opportunity to work with their photographer and a chance to get to know each other before the wedding. It also helps the bride and groom to get accustomed to having their pictures taken, which will make the wedding day images more natural and relaxed allowing their true personalities shine. Nicole and Andrew were great and I think as you look through the images you will see their passion for each other and the fun loving couple they are.

Posted by Houston Wedding Photographer Scott Villalobos | Love was in the air for Josh & Elizabeth Tuesday night as we headed downtown for their engagement session. After meeting them and listening to their story I had definite ideas in mind for the love birds. They were great and we had allot of fun. We started in the Galleria area, then it was off to a local diner 50′s style. From there it was downtown were we wrapped it up at the Aquarium. We produced an amazingly diverse portfolio of images from casual to formal and I hope that they will be proud to show off their images to family and friends. Look for Elizabeth’s bridal pics in a few weeks. HINT: She’s a country girl at heart so were gonna throw in a little - Honky Tonk Badonkadonk!

Their wedding is October 9th, 2009 – Congradulations Elizabeth & Josh!

It was great working with them and having the chance to get to know them. I’ll be doing the wedding in November and I’m sure to be posting images from the event. Until then enjoy their pics and congrats to you Whitney and Micheal!
